Our Beginner Obedience class is a basic training course for dogs 6 months and older, aimed at training you to train your dog.  For dogs under 1 year of age, you may also wish to consider our S.T.A.R. Puppy Class.

Emphasis is on the basic training needed to make your dog a good companion, walk on a loose leash, sit, stand, down, stay in position, and come when called.  You will also learn about nutrition, grooming and problem solving.  This class is an excellent starting point if you are looking to pass the Canine Good Citizen test with your dog.  During the classes all 10 steps of the Canine Good Citizen program will be taught and practiced.
 
Orientation - for Beginner Classes (first night of class)
Dogs should not be brought to the first class. The first class of each seven week session is an Orientation Class that is done without your dogs.  Be sure to bring a copy of your payment and shot records.  For the safety of all of our dogs, no dogs are allowed the building without current shot records.
